Think Chipotle, but better and a fraction of the cost-one of the best spots to go to daily and good for those trying to bulk up or get lean.
All you can eat lobster buffet. There's not much more that needs to be said I think.
This is another seafood spot on the Michelin guide similar to the other seafood spots. They have a huge variety of choices and everything was prepared well but I would skip the mantis shrimp-let's just say they were the opposite of grrowers.
A local seafood spot-not as touristy as MOC, but the seafood was just a fresh and well prepared. They also have a huge variety of different live seafood here-eating at spots like this is like hunting but on easy mode.
A super cozy spot on the Michelin Guide decorated with antique trinkets all over and well, a hen at the counter to pay. Really delicious family style Vietnamese food-order anything and you can't go wrong. Better to come with a group so you can try out a variety of different things.
This is essentially an institution at this point, multiple locations, basically a perfect system which ensures extremely consistent food.
This is one of my favourite bun bo spots. The broth is super clean and all of the meats are quite nice except for blood. I don’t like blood.
One of the top spots on the Michelin guide-they've had 50 years to refine a single dish so of course they have made really delicious bún chả cá broth-a variety of fish cakes, meatball and crab cake.
You have to get the Đặc Biệt here because it’s just so much bigger and they just drown you with the crab meat and all the different toppings here are super tasty.
It's hard to provide a recommendation for a favorite dish because they rotate the menu here quite often but honestly you can't go wrong here. It's a small and cozy restaurant, so best to make a reservation and a great spot to bring a date. You can even watch the chefs in action if you are sitting on the counter. I tried some pretty solid langoustine pasta when I came here.
Hands down my favorite banh mi spot in Da Nang. I have tried many different spots, but nothing hits the same for me. I usually order the Đặc biệt with a double portion of all the meats plus brie and then order another banh mi if I'm feeling extra insatiable that day.
I was invited to come here from the social media manager of Pho Viet Kieu and was able to meet and interview Alex and his mom eventually. Their story is quite interesting-moving from the West back to Vietnam and starting a life in Da Nang.
One of the few Michelin Guide spots I've been to more than once, their grilled meats are all amazing, same with their bún thịt nướng. You can't go wrong here and last time I went I had to actually line up for a bit, but one of the few spots where it's worth it.
Pizza 4P's is an institution. No seriously. I know people say that all the time, but there's 32 something locations in Vietnam and they were partially acquired by a private equity company in 2019 and they fully exited in 2022. Anyways, the food is fire, their best pizza is definitely the burrata margherita, the other stuff is also decent. In terms of pasta, the crab tomato cream pasta is worth every penny. It's not an Italian place btw, it's Japanese-style pizza Highly recommend.
This is honestly most likely the best ramen you can get in Da Nang. There are other spots which are almost as good-but I have not been blown away this much by a spot-from the decor to the quality and portion size and pricing of the food. A must try spot in the city centre.
This was the most contemporary Indian restaurant I've ever been to. There were your classic Indian dishes, but the setting was elevated, the presentation of some of the dishes clearly had some European influence and it makes sense because the head chef has influence from European kitchens.
They invited me to try out their restaurant and while the potatoes and the accompanying sides were tasty, the Seafood Julienne was on a whole other level. A must-try if you visit this spot.
A chill spot that's really solid for co-working, if you get a shisha (600K) you can use the space for as long as you want for coworking.
Authentic Sichuanese cuisine in Da Nang, who would've thought. Ayi means auntie and the last time I went it was sufficiently spicy with hits like mapo tofu.
A destination on the Michelin guide-this spot serves Bun Bo-Da Nang style. A solid spot.
A solid local banh mi spot in Da Nang-well there are many locations. They also have an interesting skinny banh mi with pate, try it out!
Yet another bánh xèo spot on the Michelin Guide, but personally my favorite cause of their meat sauce. Not a huge fan of bánh zèo in general because it's oily, but the nem lụi and bún thịt nướng were solid.
Decent bún bò but it was mad annoying that they were only open super early back when my sleep schedule was quite late. Regardless, a decent bowl of bún bò, but there are many great ones in Da Nang.
A really solid and hefty burger at Burger Bros the patty was really juicy and tender. The meat tasted good and the buns were pillowy and buttery. A proper gourmet burger with lettuce and tomato. My only critique would be that it did not have as much mallard as a smash burger.
This is hands down my favorite roast duck spot, the duck is always tender and well seasoned and the sauces are nice. I first learned about this from the founder of Frumi smoothies-he's extremely allergic to MSG and claims based on personal experience that this is one of the few spots in Da Nang that doesn't use MSG. It's insanely cheap and a hidden gem, highly recommend!
I drove by this location many times and noticed how hip and nice it looked so I decided to go in there and try it out. I tend to stumble into a lot of good spots because, well, I have good taste and this spot did not dissapoint-they have a wide selection of wines and craft beer and all the seafood was fresh and well presented. A good spot for a treat, date night or just feeling a lil spicy.
A spot on the Michelin Guide, my expectations were honestly quite low going in because I mean, first of all, Indian food in Da Nang. Secondly, the decor of the place was extremely basic and didn't give me a strong first impression. But don't be fooled by the ambience or the fact that it's in Da Nang, I tried their Saag Ghosh and Paani Puuri and both were tasty.
Randomly stumbled onto this spot on Google Maps and was pleasantly surprised-my first time trying spicy Vietnamese cuisine-it is actually spicy, so if you can't handle the heat then I would recommend asking them to keep it light on the spice or skipping it otherwise this is a solid pick!
They invited and comped me when I went to eat there-I was already a fan of their sister restaurants: Bikini Bottom and Vietnom so it was no surprise that everything was exceptional: the service, ambience and food. And don't think that I am a paid shill-people have invited me and comped the entire meal but if it wasn't good, I still called it out. See Bottega5...
Op La Cafe is really the same spot as Bikini Bottom, but the branding is slightly different, still playful like the rest of the brand. The eggs benedict here was really top notch-and is my way of measuring whether a breakfast spot is legit or not.
I came here because I wanted a change in scenery and ordered a pesto pasta not expecting much in terms of the food because it's a beach bar and usually when my expectations are low-I turn out to be quite happy. It's a strange thing to order at a beach bar-most non bar food is a bit strange to order from there, but what a nice surprise. And lots of dragonflies.
I was invited by the owner on TikTok to come by to try their meats and to make it fair I had to just order everything and try it all, but I was by myself, I couldn't even get through a third of it so definitely worth it with a big group. My favorite item was the beef rib-highly recommend getting this.
It's not that they just serve kimbap here, they serve a variety of Korean dishes and it's all good including the damyeong sundae and soft tofu stew. The ambience doesn't do it justice, although basic the dishes here are all delicious and reasonably priced.
This spot is above Burger Bros and even though you gotta walk up some stairs, the ramen and all the other dishes are authentic and solid. The tsukemen was very good and the other dishes I've tried here are quite good as well so would definitely recommend coming here. A cool blue theme which ties into the name of the spot which is a nice detail.
The OG sauna + ice + steam spot for nomads in Da Nang draped in lush greenery, nice outdoor seating, an indoor seating area and a smallish lounge area on the second floor and massage as well. There's also a variety of drinks (coconut, coffee, smoothie, etc.) as well as a few healthy food options.
The owner invited me via TikTok, honestly, all their spring rolls were great and it's a nice thing that they are trying to do with bringing Vietnamese culture to foreigners in this way. They have classic flavors as well as some fusion flavors.
One of the first spots I've tried, even though I went for some salmon toast and a pesto sandwich, I normally go for the protein dinners-it's a good amount of clean, healthy and fresh protein with an appropriate serving of carbs and fiber. Tasty food, consistent and definitely a good spot for bodybuilding or giving your body high quality fuel.
This is another one of those restaurants very similar to Bep Cuon, a place that kinda does it all and has Vietnamese dishes from all over the country. After trying basically all the spots on the Michelin Guide (at the time of writing-Feb 22, 2026) in Da Nang and over 100 spots in Da Nang including many local spots which I haven't written down I believe they do a better job at serving more authentic and quality dishes than Bep Cuon. I still love Bep Cuon though.
I first learned of Tonton because they reached out to me on TikTok to come and try their croissant and some of their pastries. I've tried their bread and even their gateau de roi and woke up at 4AM one day to try to survive a day in a bakery-after seeing the amount of work that goes into making bread. While it is just another day and routine for Adrien, my appreciation for his craft and the amount of effort and discipline it takes to make the different items in his shop is damn high because he does it all by hand and everything is 100% French.
A no-frills coworking space, really reasonable pricing, but like most co-working spaces in Da Nang, has a bit of the soulless office vibe.
It's insane that there is a Sardinian restaurant in Da Nang of all places-really solid niche, the gorgonzola bruschetta was a flavor bomb. The flavors of the different pasta dishes were more muted, but the vibe is comforting home-cooked food.
This is a super touristy spot on the river side, food is kinda mid tbh, but a good place for beginners in Da Nang to understand the different dishes Vietnam has to offer other than pho and banh mi.
Someone recommended the wagyu burger here and claimed it was the best in Da Nang-I went to try and it was aight, especially for the cost.
This was my first experience trying Búm Mam-this is not for the faint of heart-the purple fish sauce has a next level pungent smell and the hygiene here-as with many local spots is questionable. But tasty food.
This was a random bánh canh spot I stumbled upon and it turned out to have really solid bánh canh and protein choices.
I had no idea what Bánh Canh was before coming here, it was a solid first experience, but the protein was kinda mid.
I mean seriously, look at how many Banh Xeo spots there are on the Michelin Guide, this one had a variety of different thigns and their little fried corn rolls was probably the most unique thing.
One of two spots with very similar names and to be quite frank almost the exact same menu, I don't think it's the same owner, but not much to say here.
This is the other spot of the two spots with a similar name, the only reason it is the second spot is because of the alphabetical ordering.
One of my first meals in Da Nang and the first time I was introduced to bánh xèo-this place holds a special place in my heart because of the nostalgia, but because of the large variety of food, everything is decent, but nothing is amazing.
A solid com ga spot on the Michelin guide, ridiculously affordable, I've never seen a pot of such a large amount of rice-I can't imagine how many bowls of rice and how much chicken this man is serving daily. Pretty solid, but I found the salad a bit salty, but still a great spot for bulking because well, it's literally chicken and rice.
I ordered this on Grab seeking a healthy meal with high protein and it did not disappoint, a solid alternative to Mesala or one of these other healthy salad spots if you're seeking something clean with lots of protein.
Another fairly mid spot on the Michelin Guide, unfortunately a lot of the spots were just average, but I don't think the expectation for most Michelin spots should be high.
The ambience at this spot is very nice, but honestly the food was not good for the price point (in Vietnam). Good to bring a date if they like nice atmospheres for taking pictures and stuff, but not for the food.
I went here twice for their famed cheese wheel pasta-first time it lacked flavor and was quite disappointing. They invited me back to try again and unfortunately, it was still underwhelming. Charging 500K for carbonara cheese wheel pasta is fine, but not when the Carbona is not an authentic carbonara. Italians would freak out if they knew about this place.
I'm not a huge fan of boiled duck to be honest, whether it's in the form of porridge, by itself with some sauces or in a salad form. I think the meat is too gamey for me and I feel like roasting it mellows out the gaminess. Maybe it's just my Chinese-ness.
When I was living in Golden Bay, I decided to try out the Korean BBQ restaurant I always walked by-didn't try the Korean BBQ and it was completely empty. The food was decent, but had premium pricing because it was in a five star hotel-I'd pass on this and just go to one of the other KBBQ restaurants in the city.
I am not a big fan of mỳ quảng in general and the flavor of this bowl was honestly quite mid-would skip for some of the other better spots.
Yet another boiled duck spot on the Michelin Guide, there's not much I want to say about it, they honestly all taste the same to me. I'm not the best guy to ask when it comes to boiled duck because it is just not one of the things in my taste.
The Mỳ Quảng here just felt very average and in my opinion there are plenty of spots both off and on the Michelin Guide which do the dish much better justice. The dish in general is not one of my favorites because there's not a lot of protein and the portion is too small for me.
Honestly, just here because it's on the Michelin guide-would not recommend making a trip out here.
I am intentionally including this here because it will be part of my avoid list. This spot has thousands of reviews and a super high rating.
Another spot to avoid if you care about food taste, but if you like a nice view and you want to impress a date with an amazing view, perhaps this is a good spot.
